Healthy Families Program
State law requires the Department of Health Care Services (DHCS), in conjunction with the Managed Risk Medical Insurance Board (MRMIB), to submit an annual outreach plan to the Legislature, in those years for which there is funding for outreach. (Assembly Bill 2780 (Chapter 310, Statutes of 1998), which amended Section 14067 of the Welfare and Institutions Code)
Express Lane Program
AB 2877 (Chapter 93, Statutes of 2000) requires the DHCS and the MRMIB to prepare a report on options for streamlining the Medi-Cal for Children (MCC) and Healthy Families Program (HFP) eligibility process for children enrolled in, or applying to, other programs with income eligibility guidelines similar to those of MCC and HFP.
