README DOCUMENTATION FOR MEDI-CAL ELIGIBILITY ZIP CODE TABLES


This file was prepared based on a the Medi-Cal Eligibles Extract File for the 
month indicated, using the eligibility file created four months later.
The Excel version provides this information in the form of Pivot Tables.
The generic version is in an ASCII, column-delimited format.

Due to the larger size of the Excel Pivot Table files, as opposed to the
generic ones, the user can more quickly download the generic versions
and then easily import into Excel, then create Pivot Tables, one table
at a time.

The file is compressed (or zipped) into a self-extracting file. 
To decompress (or unzip) simply double-click (using your mouse)
on the ".exe" filename, the "WinZip Self-Extractor" dialog box will appear,
select the location of where to decompress (unzip) the file to (where you want 
the Excel file to reside), and select the Unzip button. Once the file is 
decompressed (unzipped) a confirmation dialog box will appear, at this point,
select the "OK" button and then close the "WinZip Self-Extractor" dialog box.
