DHCS NPI Compliance

DHCS consists of several health care programs that are covered by HIPAA and therefore must be able to receive and process NPIs. Many areas within DHCS have modified their systems and business processes to accommodate the NPI. Additional efforts to fully incorporate the NPI into DHCS business processes will continue in 2008.

Medi-cal
