DHCS Resource Center
Due to restructuring and relocation of staff within the Department of Health Care Services, the substance use disorder (SUD) Resource Center (RC) has been discontinued and permanently closed on December 12, 2014.
For individuals or providers seeking referrals to SUD treatment, DHCS maintains various directories pertaining to licensed and certified facilities and programs, county alcohol and other drug offices, and referral information. The directories are listed online at: http://www.dhcs.ca.gov/provgovpart/Pages/SUD-Directories.aspx.
In addition, SUD staff is available Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. to provide non-emergency treatment referrals. Voicemails will be returned during regular business hours. Spanish speakers are available. Please contact us at (800) 879-2772 or (916) 327-3728.
Thank you for using the services of the Department of Health Care Services SUD Resource Center. As an alternative to the SUD Resource Center, the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) maintains a comprehensive collection of SUD information for individuals and providers. These services are accessible online at http://www.samhsa.gov/.
