2011 Medi-Cal Managed Care Quality Awards

On May 26, 2011, Toby Douglas, Director of the Department of Health Care Services, presented the 2011 Quality Awards for the Medi-Cal Managed Care Program to acknowledge outstanding performance in the following areas:

• The required Healthcare Effectiveness Data Information Set (HEDIS) measures for 2010 – Gold, Silver, Bronze, Honorable Mention, and Most Improved Awards.
• The 2010 Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (CAHPS) Surveys for Medi-Cal Managed Care – Gold, Silver, Bronze, and Honorable Mention Awards.
• Outstanding Service and Support to Members in Partnership with the Office of the Ombudsman in 2010 -- Gold, Most Improved and Special Acknowledgement Awards.
• Special Acknowledgement Awards for outstanding contribution to quality improvement in the Medi-Cal managed care program by a health plan and nine health plan staff members.
