SMAA Weekly Update #3 January 17, 2014 

SMAA Stakeholder Forum

 

The first meeting of the SMAA Stakeholder Forum is scheduled for Wednesday February 12, 2014 from 9:00am to 12:00pm at the DHCS headquarters in Sacramento.  DHCS would like to request submissions of specific issue topics that you would like to discuss at this meeting.  Any issues are eligible including RMTS, the CMS Deferral, or the revised SMAA Manual, etc.  DHCS will gather all of the suggestions and create an agenda for the meeting.  Please submit your suggestions to the SMAA email box at smaa@dhcs.ca.gov before Friday January 24, 2014.

File Transfer Protocol (FTP) Site

          

Progress is being made on developing the FTP site.  However, due to the number of user accounts that need to be created, we are moving to Microsoft SharePoint as the preferred platform.  It operates essentially the same way as FTP and will be a bit more user friendly.  The SMAA staff will be receiving training early next week and once that is complete we will organize a statewide training for the LECs and LGAs.

Interim Claiming Document Report 

     

All LECs/LGAs should have received a report listing all of the Interim Claiming documents that were received through the SMAA email box. Please review the report and compare it to the list of documents that were submitted.  Once the SharePoint site is complete, the submitted documents that are missing from the report can be resubmitted.  Please hold these documents until you are notified that the SharePoint site is operational.
