External Quality Review Organization Project (RFP #08-85020)

The Department of Health Care Services (DHCS), Medi-Cal Managed Care Division, (MMCD), is soliciting proposals to secure a Contractor to perform the services required under the External Quality Review Organization (EQRO) project.  The role of the External Quality Review Organization is to conduct annual, independent reviews of the quality of services provided to Medi-Cal beneficiaries by contracted managed care plans.  DHCS requires these reviews to ensure compliance with Federal and State statutes.  Proposals must address all of the services described in Exhibit “A” entitled, “Scope of Work”, of the Request for Proposal (RFP).

MMCD, through the Office of Medi-Cal Procurement (OMCP), intends to make a single contract award to the most responsive and responsible firm earning the highest score.  This procurement is open to all eligible firms and/or individuals that meet the qualification requirements, including commercial businesses, nonprofit organizations, State or public universities (including auxiliary organizations) and other entities.
