Strategy for Quality Improvement in Health Care

Quality improvement is a key component in helping DHCS achieve what is called the Triple Aim: improving the patient experience of care; improving the health of populations; and reducing the per capita cost of health care. DHCS' commitment to quality improvement is summarized in the DHCS Strategy for Quality Improvement in Health Care (Quality Strategy), which describes the goals, priorities, guiding principles, and specific DHCS program activities related to quality improvement. The Quality Strategy also supports the DHCS Strategic Plan commitments and aligns with national efforts, such as the National Quality Strategy.
