Office of Clinical Preventive Medicine’s Goals
The Office of Clinical Preventive Medicine works to:
- Increase the delivery of effective preventive services in clinical practice through the dissemination of evidence-based guidelines and use of effective office systems and information technology.
- Enhance collaboration between the Department of Health Care Services and the California Department of Public Health in the areas of policy development, information dissemination, clinical practice interventions, and research.
- Increase attention to and knowledge of public health issues by health plans and health care purchasers.
- Promote partnerships between the Department of Health Care Services, academic institutions, and public governmental funding organizations.
