These projects are either scheduled to be added or have recently been added to the Children's Medical Services (CMS) Net system.

Updated security to maintain and track user credentialing, titles, telephone and fax numbers. Enhanced password standards to standardize with the Department of Health Care services. Enhanced audit history to track and monitor user password changes or county assignment changes. Updated security templates for use by County and State system administrators to make user profile assignments more efficient.

This project creates a method in CMS Net where county CCS programs, GHPP, and Systems of Care Division (SCD) Regional Offices may enter minimum referral details, track history, generate letters, and produce management reports. This process allows all referrals to be handled consistently, thoroughly, and timely. In addition, the system generates a notification of "inappropriate referral" to the referral source (such as the medical provider or Medi-Cal Managed Care Plan (MCP)/Healthy Families (HF) carrier). A referral status is also posted on Provider Electronic Data Interchange (PEDI).

This project creates a public facing web portal where providers may submit panel application information on-line to the SCD, Provider Services Unit (PSU) for approval/denial of paneling. Providers will enter their panel application submission and have the ability to monitor approval/denial status with a tracking identification number. This process allows most paneling applications to be handled in a thorough and timely manner. In addition, paneling status reports will be available for State Management, PSU and County CCS programs.
