Dental Providers
Dental providers requesting to treat GHPP beneficiaries must be actively enrolled in the Medi-Cal Dental Program (Denti-Cal) and comply with Denti-Cal’s policies, procedures, and requirements. For more information about the Denti-Cal program, please go to the Denti-Cal website.
GHPP Medi-Cal Clients
These beneficiaries are eligible for full scope benefits with no share of cost under Medi-Cal. Dental claims are to be sent directly to Denti-Cal, and do not require prior GHPP authorization.
GHPP Only Clients
These beneficiaries receive comprehensive State-funded health care and require prior GHPP authorization.
GHPP Dental providers requesting to treat GHPP only clients must have an active California Children's Services/GHPP Program (CGP) number or must apply for a CGP number. A CGP number is a unique number assigned to the GHPP dental provider which is used to bill GHPP.
For more information on obtaining a CGP number and to download the application forms, please read the following policy letter: REVISION OF CALIFORNIA CHILDREN'S SERVICES/GENETICALLY HANDICAPPED PERSONS PROGRAM PANEL APPLICATIONS
