California County Maps
Following are individual maps for each of the 58 counties in the State. The maps plot the number of Partnership + Non-Partnership policy purchasers by zip code. These are all purchasers since the inception of the Program through 12/31/2009. To look at a map, go to the menu below and click on the county of interest to you. The maps are in PDF format so you can print only the individual map you are interested in. To return to this menu, click the "Back" button in your browser.
For your information, we have also prepared a listing by zip code of people in four separate age categories whose yearly incomes are equal to or greater than $40,000. The four age categories are 45-54, 55-64, 65-74 and 75+. To use this list:
1) open up the county map of interest to you
2) identify the zip code of interest to you
3) the zip code you identified is shaded in a certain color. Look at the map legend to determine how many total policies (Partnership + Non-Partnership) have been sold in that zip code
4) open up the California Zip Codes listing. This list reflects data that is correct as of 5/22/2006.
5) using the age bracket you prefer, identify the number of people in that zip code. To arrive at aggregate figures of, for example, people 45+ years of age and older whose incomes are equal to or greater than $40,000, add all four age groups in that zip code. If you only wanted to target people 55+ years of age with incomes equal to or greater than $40,000, then merely add up the last three columns for that zip code.
6) the difference between the number of people in that zip code minus the number of people who have purchased policies (Partnership + Non-Partnership) in that zip code is the number of opportunities yet to pursue
NOTE: Please keep in mind that zip code boundaries cross county lines. For this reason, a zip code boundary that crosses county lines will be attributed to the county with the greatest portion of the zip code. In some situations, this will cause a county map to look somewhat unfamiliar.
