Long Term Care Reimbursement AB 1629
The Rate Development Branch established the Long-Term Care System Development Unit (LTCSDU) in 2002. Unit staff research, develop, implement, and as appropriate, administer and oversee programs set forth in law that affect Medi-Cal reimbursement rates for Free-Standing Skilled Nursing Facilities Level B and Adult Free-Standing Subacute Facilities Level B.

April 2012 Update:
Information pertaining to the 10% Long Term Care payment reduction implementation process (timeframe of payments/claims) is listed below:
Effective April 20th payments will be reduced by 10% for claims submitted after April 20, 2012, through July 31, 2012.
For clarification purposes: The 10% reduction only applies to claims submitted after 4/20/12 for DOS 6/1/11 through 7/31/12. Any claims submitted after July 31, 2012, regardless of the DOS, will not have their payments reduced.
