Congratulations to our 2008 award recipient, Dr. Priya Batra. She has a long and distinguished history of leadership and innovation in the area of women’s health and well-being.
General Information
The OWH established this award to honor the memory of Dr. Helen-Rodriguez-Trias, a founding member of the Women’s Health Council and an internationally known advocate for women’s health. The award will recognize an organization or individual who has demonstrated leadership in promoting women’s health services at the community level.
This award is made in conjunction with OWH’s celebration of Women’s Health Month in May. The theme for Women’s Health Month 2008 is the “Power of ‘WE’.
The California Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) and California Department of Public Health (CDPH) Office of Women’s Health (OWH) requested nominations for the 7th annual Helen Rodriquez-Trias Award for Excellence in Community-Based Women’s Health Leadership, and an award recipient was chosen
