Grants-In-Aid for Clinics

The Primary and Rural Health (PRH) Division, of the California Department of Health Care Services, has the responsibility for administration of the Grant-In-Aid (GIA) for Clinics Program. The GIA for Clinics Program provides local assistance funding to selected non-profit, community-based primary care clinics,  and clinic associations, which are licensed per Section 1204 (a)(1)(A) and 1204 (a)(1)(B) of the Health and Safety Code (H&S).
 
Clinics and clinic associations may request GIA funding for stabilization or technical assistance or both. Request for Applications (RFA) for GIA for Clinics Program funding are issued annually. To be eligible for GIA funds, an applicant must be a  community clinic, free, or Indian health clinic prior to or on January 1, 1980. Please refer to the RFA for further eligibility and program requirements.
