Cost Report - Paradox Application / RunTime 9 - Fiscal Year 2012-13

The Paradox Application is a relational database vehicle used to compile information and data in an electronic format for the annual required county cost report.  Paradox is a logical sequencing program utilizing Provider number, Service Code and Program Code to identify the type of client and or service provided.  Each record created will identify funding expenditures, unique data and carry forward (if applicable) about the particular service and program.  Paradox does NOT contain PHI or HIPAA protected information.

The Paradox application can be loaded into a shared network environment to all multiple users or on a local workstation for the designated person.  Each workstation utilizing Paradox will require the RunTime 9 program to be installed.  Information instructions, application by county and RunTime 9 information is found below by following the appropriate link.

When the cost report is complete and the county's Paradox is ready to be submitted, only six files are required and can be submitted via e-mail or on some other form of electronic media.  Information about submitting the cost report can be found in the Cost Report Letter.

Please note:

Effective with the passage of the 2013-2014 Budget Act and associated legislation, the Department of Alcohol and Drug Programs (ADP) no longer exists as of July 1, 2013. All ADP programs and staff, except the Office of Problem Gambling, transferred to the Department of Health Care Services (DHCS).
