Are you or someone you know pregnant? Do you have a baby younger than 1 year old?
Text4baby is a free service that sends information on prenatal care, baby’s growth, labor signs, breastfeeding, nutrition, and more. You can also get appointment reminders. Text4baby sends text messages directly to your cell phone, timed to mom’s due date or baby’s birthday.
Text4baby is free, no matter which cell phone plan you have. It’s available in English and Spanish. To sign up, text BABY (or BEBE for Spanish) to 511411, visit Text4baby (Not DHCS) or download the Text4baby app to your smartphone.

 News! CDPH and DHCS Launch Free, Customized Health and Safety Text Messaging Service! (Not DHCS)

Through a federally funded pilot project to improve maternal and infant health, DHCS partners with ZERO TO THREE, the California Department of Public Health, several Medi-Cal Managed Care Plans, and many other organizations across California, to customize and promote the Text4baby service with local resources and services in California and for Medi-Cal members. Text4baby is an effective tool to directly engage and empower expectant and new parents through enhancing health knowledge, promoting healthy behaviors, and increasing access to services through an innovative text messaging platform.
