HCBA Waiver Solicitation for Application (SFA) Award Announcement

The Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) would like to thank everyone who prepared and submitted an application to become an HCBA Waiver Agency, in response to SFA #17-0118. Thank you for your interest in the HCBA Waiver and for the time and effort you put in to the development of your applications. The DHCS’ Integrated Systems of Care Division (ISCD) has evaluated all of the applications and, pursuant to SFA #17-10118, is hereby announcing that it intends to award HCBA Waiver Agency Contracts to the following applicants:

DHCS received seventeen applications in response to the HCBA Waiver SFA released on October 4, 2017. Through an extensive, multi-phase scoring process, DHCS has selected the highest scoring applicants within each service area for award.
The organizations selected for award will ensure:
  • 99% of current Waiver participants and members on the existing waitlist are included in the nine selected Awardees’ service areas
  • 87.9% of the state's counties are served by the selected Awardees; and the state will continue to provide Waiver case management to the following counties not covered by an awardee:
o   Alpine
o   Imperial
o   Inyo
o   Marin
o   Mendocino
o   Mono
o   Napa

The Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) has released the Solicitation for Application (SFA) included below, to invite eligible organizations to apply to become HCBA Waiver “Waiver Agencies.”  

Applicants selected to become Contracted Waiver Agencies will receive funding to perform waiver administrative functions within a defined service area and to provide Comprehensive Care Management services to Waiver participants.
