Other Health Coverage (OHC)

Medi-Cal identifies health, dental, specialty mental health, and long-term care insurance belonging to beneficiaries by conducting data exchanges with the Social Security Administration, the California Department of Child Support Services, and various health insurance companies.  When we learn a Medi-Cal beneficiary has other health coverage, we update our Health Insurance System to ensure that Medi-Cal is the payer of last resort.

The OHC Processing Center allows you to update private health insurance and some Medicare plans for Medi-Cal beneficiaries.  Please use the forms below to request changes to a beneficiary's insurance information.
