Medi-Cal Third Party Liability and Recovery Division
The Third Party Liability and Recovery Division (TPLRD) is responsible for ensuring that the Medi-Cal program complies with State and Federal laws and regulations relating to the legal liability of third parties for health care services to beneficiaries, and of taking all reasonable measures to ensure that the Medi-Cal program is the payer of last resort.

IMPORTANT MESSAGE!
Effective January 1, 2012, both federal and state laws will require all TPLRD payments issued to any individual or non-governmental entity, to submit a Payee Data Record (STD. 204).

Now Accepting Online Payments
TPLRD is now accepting online payments from your checking or savings account through the Department of Health Care Services' (DHCS) secure web site. The application uses a step-by-step approach, making payments easier and faster than ever before.
