Hospice
Like palliative care, hospice care also serves seriously ill patients, but is limited to late stage illness. Hospice care is available to both managed care and fee-for-service beneficiaries who have a medical prognosis of six months or less to live, and is provided in lieu of curative treatment for the terminal condition.
