Early Start – Early Intervention
- California’s early intervention program, known as Early Start (Not DHCS), is a program for infants and toddlers under three years of age with special developmental needs and their families.
- For children under age three diagnosed with a hearing loss there is a simplified referral process through Language Equality and Acquisition for Deaf Kids (LEAD-K).
