California Community Supports Pricing Resource

Pricing Resource Landing Page

Community Supports  have been a core component of California Advancing and Innovating Medi-Cal (CalAIM) since Medi-Cal managed care plans (MCPs) began offering these services in 2022. Over the past several years, MCPs and providers across California have gained substantial experience delivering Community Supports and establishing contractual and payment arrangements to support this work.

As the delivery system has matured, sustainable pricing and informed contracting remain essential to supporting effective MCP–provider partnerships, particularly given the continued role of non-traditional providers in delivering Community Supports. To support these arrangements, the Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) previously released pricing benchmarks in the 2021 Non-Binding ILOS Pricing Guidance and a limited update through the 2025 Community Supports Pricing Resource.

DHCS is now updating the Non-Binding Community Supports Pricing Resource to reflect current service delivery and cost structures. All services’ pricing information is being updated. For a subset of services, DHCS is conducting provider surveys to inform updated cost drivers and assumptions used to develop pricing benchmarks that support ongoing, sustainable contracting for Community Supports.

DHCS appreciates this provider engagement opportunity and thanks providers for taking the time to provide this critical information.

This website will host additional information related to the Pricing Resource.

Survey Detail

DHCS is conducting a survey for providers who deliver the following Community Supports:

  • Medically Tailored Meals/Medically Supportive Food (MTM/MSF)
  • Housing Transition Navigation Services (HTNS)
  • Housing Tenancy and Sustaining Services (HTSS)
  • Recuperative Care
  • Assisted Living Facility (ALF) Transition Services

These services reflect a subset of the total Community Supports offered in California. If your organization does not deliver any of the service categories listed, please disregard this survey.

Additional details will be released soon.

DHCS will provide a link that will direct users to Qualtrics, a survey platform, to take the survey. The survey will ask for detailed cost and wage information for your organization. You will be able to start the survey at any time to preview the information requested and submit the final data at a later time.
