議会法案(AB)97(第3章、2011年法)は、医療サービス省(DHCS)に、薬局を含むMedi-Calプログラムのほとんどのサービスカテゴリに対して最大10%の支払い削減を実施することを要求しています。DHCSは、2011年6月1日より、薬局の支払い10%削減の実施について連邦政府の承認を受けました。​​ 

On January 30, 2014, DHCS received notification that the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) approved State Plan Amendment(SPA) 12-014.  This SPA approves DHCS’ criteria and requirements for exempting specific drug products and/or categories of drugs, or specific pharmacy providers from the AB 97 related ten percent payment reductions and provides authority to implement the exemptions accordingly.  The CMS approval letter for this SPA as well as information on all other DHCS SPAs is posted on the website.​​
