2013년 3월 19일, 사회복지부와 보건복지부는 In-Home Supportive Services (IHSS) 수혜자 및 노동 단체와 IHSS 프로그램과 관련된 여러 집단 소송을 해결하기 위한 합의를 발표했습니다. 이 합의로 오스터 대 라이트본 및 도밍게즈 대 슈워제네거 소송에서 주와 원고 간의 분쟁이 해결되었습니다.​​

In-Home Supportive Services 플러스 주 요금제 옵션 (IHSS)​​ 

IHSS 플러스 웨이버는 2009년 9월 IHSS 플러스 주정부 플랜 옵션 프로그램으로 전환되었습니다.  IHSS 플러스 프로그램은 부모 또는 배우자를 포함하여 등록된 간병 제공자가 자격을 갖춘 Medi-Cal 수혜자에게 서비스를 제공하도록 비용을 지급합니다.  프로그램 참여 자격은 65세 이상, 시각장애인 또는 장애인으로 가정 외 요양 시설에 입소할 수 있는 사람입니다.  이 프로그램을 통해 참가자는 집에서 서비스를 받을 수 있습니다.​​ 

To receive services, an assessment is conducted to determine which types of services may be authorized for each participant based on their needs. Services provided through IHSS can include: housecleaning, meal preparation, laundry, grocery shopping, personal care services (such as bowel and bladder care, bathing, grooming and paramedical services), accompaniment to medical appointments, and/or protective supervision for the mentally impaired.  Authorized services may be provided by a parent, a spouse or a caregiver.  Recipients may qualify for the option of receiving advance pay and restaurant meal allowance.​​
