Patients’ Rights
캘리포니아주 Department of Health Care Services (DHCS))는 허가된 정신 건강 시설에서 정신 건강 서비스 수혜자의 권리를 위한 정신 건강 법률, 규정 및 정책을 준수하도록 규정하고 있습니다.
비자발적 입원 대상자를 포함하여 정신건강 시설에서 치료를 받고 있는 정신질환을 앓고 있는 캘리포니아 주민은 복지 및 시설법(W&I 코드) 5325항에 따라 학대와 방임으로부터 자유로울 권리, 사생활, 존엄성, 인도적 치료에 대한 권리, 입원 과정에서 기본적인 절차적 보호를 받을 권리 등 다양한 권리를 보장받습니다.
DHCS in agreement with Department of State Hospitals is required to enter a multi-year contract with a nonprofit organization to provide investigative and advocacy services. Currently, the contractor providing the patients’ rights investigative and advocacy services required in W&I Code, Section 5370.2 is the Disability Rights California, Office of Patients’ Rights (OPR). The OPR also provides training and technical assistance to all county patients’ rights advocates.

Mental Health facilities may order copies of the Patients’ Rights Handbooks and Posters in English or Spanish by completing this Publications Order Form and emailing it to PatientsRights@dhcs.ca.gov.
