Discontinued Enrollment Moratoriums

California Welfare and Institutions (W & I) Code Section 14043.55, authorizes the Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) to implement 180-day moratoriums on the enrollment of providers in a specific service category, on a statewide basis, or within a geographic area, when the director determines the action is necessary to safeguard public funds or to maintain the fiscal integrity of the Medi-Cal program.
