On-going Trainings

National Center for Suicide Prevention Training The Harvard Injury Control Research Center and the Suicide Prevention Resource Center offer four free online, self-paced workshops on understanding youth suicide prevention. Workshop topics include youth suicide data, program planning and evaluation, gatekeeper role in suicide prevention, and evidence-based practices for youth suicide prevention. Continuing education units for social workers and health educators are available for all workshops. You may request credits if you receive a 70% or higher on the workshop post-test.

Suicide Prevention Resource Center Online Training The Suicide Prevention Resource Center (SPRC) offers free online training to service providers, educators, health professionals, public officials and community-based coalitions to help support the development of effective suicide prevention programs and policies. Four courses are currently available: 1) Implementing a Suicide Prevention Gatekeeper Training Programs, 2) Locating, Understanding and Presenting Youth Suicide Data, 3) Planning and Evaluation for Youth Suicide Prevention, and 4) The Research Evidence for Suicide as a Preventable Public Health Issue.
