Medi-Cal Transformation for Members
CalAIM: Transforming Medi-Cal

Medi-Cal provides low-cost or free health insurance to millions of Californians, including those who are lower-income, pregnant, older, or with disabilities. California is transforming the Medi-Cal program to ensure that Californians get the care they need to live healthier lives. Medi-Cal members will have access to new and improved services, and receive well-rounded care that goes beyond the doctor’s office or hospital and addresses their physical and mental health needs. Learn about the new Medi-Cal initiatives.
What does Medi-Cal Transformation mean for members?

These changes will create a more coordinated, person-centered, and equitable health system that works for everyone, accounting for your race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, disability, immigration status, health needs or where you live.
Over time, Medi-Cal will help members address their health-related social needs and provide those with long-term needs better integrated and coordinated care.
No matter where members seek care – at the doctor, the dentist, with a social worker, or at a community center – you’ll be connected to the quality care you need.
