The Performance Outcomes Committee fulfills the Council’s responsibilities presented in Welfare and Institutions Code Section 5772 (c) to review program performance , to review and approve performance outcomes measures, and to report findings and recommendations on performance of programs annually to the Legislature, Department of Health Care Services and the local boards.  The committee’s work includes issuance and analysis of the annual Data Notebook project, working with other organizations to identify outcomes measures and publicly-available data, surveying counties for community-level data and issuing reports to inform regarding the effectiveness of various aspects of the public behavioral health system.
