DHCS remains committed to advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion, and eliminating racial and other health care barriers in California, and we are doing so in many ways. For example, through California Advancing and Innovating Medi-Cal (CalAIM), DHCS aims to transform California’s health care system to be more equitable, integrated, and person-centered. The Population Health Management (PHM) program, a cornerstone of CalAIM, will work to provide beneficiaries with access to care that leads to longer and healthier lives, improved outcomes, and greater health equity.
DHCS’ Comprehensive Quality Strategy’s goals and guiding principles are built upon the PHM framework and stress DHCS’ commitment to health equity, member involvement, and accountability in all of our programs and initiatives, and for all populations. Additionally, DHCS is leveraging the managed care plan procurement process to drive improvement in quality of and access to care, as well as focus on health equity and reducing health care disparities.
Raws li peb hwm Juneteenth, peb yuav tsum nco ntsoov tias kev noj qab haus huv California rau txhua tus pib ib leeg nrog peb txhua tus, thiab txuas ntxiv nrog cov zej zog ua haujlwm ua ke kom ua tiav lub hom phiaj sib koom.
