메디칼 자격을 처음 취득하면 메디칼 행위별 수가제에 따라 보장을 받습니다. 거주 카운티에 따라 30일 이내에 건강 보험을 선택해야 할 수도 있습니다. 30일 이내에 건강 보험을 선택하지 않으면 Medi-Cal에서 건강 보험을 선택해 드립니다.​​ 

일부 카운티에서는 의료 보험을 선택할 필요 없이 자동으로 의료 보험에 가입됩니다. 의료 보험 '웰컴 패킷'이 우편으로 도착할 때까지 기다려 주세요.​​

Call Medi-Cal Health Care Options (HCO) Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. at (800) 430-4263 (TTY: (800) 430-7077). Or enroll online on the Health Care Option website.

For people with both Medicare and Medi-Cal, Medi-Medi Plans are available in certain counties for voluntary enrollment. Medi-Medi Plans are Medicare Advantage plans that combine Medicare and Medi-Cal benefits into one plan.
