Medi-Cal Member Advisory Committee and Medi-Cal Voices and Vision Council Recommendation Tracker
This tracker shows recommendations from the Medi-Cal Member Advisory Committee (MMAC) and the Medi-Cal Voices and Vision Council, along with the progress made by DHCS. These recommendations reflect members’ lived experiences, ideas, and solutions to help improve Medi-Cal. DHCS publicly tracks this feedback to support transparency, accountability, and partnership with the Medi-Cal community.
Current Focus
Right now, most recommendations relate to the Medi-Cal Work and Community Engagement Rule, a new federal requirement that affects some Medi-Cal members. For more information on Medi-Cal changes, including the Work and Community Engagement Rule, visit the What Members Need to Know webpage.
As MMAC and the Voices & Vision Council continue their work, the tracker will expand to include recommendations on additional Medi-Cal topics.

What Each Status Means:
- In Progress: Work is happening now.
- Addressed: DHCS looked into the recommendation and took action.
- Under Review: DHCS is reviewing the recommendation and has not made a decision yet.
- Monitoring (No Immediate Action): DHCS is not taking action now but is keeping an eye on the issue.
- Out of Scope: This issue is not something DHCS can address.
- Not possible: DHCS recognizes the issue but cannot address it due to legal restrictions, budget constraints, or system limitations.
- Not Moving Forward: DHCS reviewed the issue and decided not to take further action.
