Medi-Cal Eligibility Ratio (MER) for the SFY 2021-22 CRCS Report
The direct service MER is calculated annually and used to apportion cost to the Medi‑Cal Program. To calculate the MER for the SFY 2021-22 CRCS, LEA BOP Providers must use the following methodology:
Numerator (Number of Medi-Cal Eligible Students in the LEA): Report the unduplicated count of Medi-Cal enrolled students. The number of Medi-Cal enrolled students will be determined based on the Medi-Cal data match output file used to check Medi-Cal student enrollment. LEA BOP Providers are to use enrollment data as of May 25, 2022 and the data match output result for May 2022 to determine the numerator.
Denominator (Total Number of Students Enrolled in the LEA): Report the unduplicated count of all students enrolled in the LEA. LEA Providers are to obtain enrollment data on May 25, 2022.
