California Opioid Settlements
California has joined national lawsuits against manufacturers, distributors, and other entities responsible for contributing the opioid epidemic. Since 2022, California has begun receiving funds to support opioid remediation and related public health efforts from several opioid judgments. Monies from these settlements and bankruptcies are distributed to California and its eligible participating cities and counties pursuant to the California State-Subdivision Agreements. This page provides information for cities and counties regarding California’s Opioid Settlements and Bankruptcies.
