Use Your Medi-Cal
After You Apply
1. We Review
It may take up to 45 days for us to review your Medi-Cal application. We may contact you for more information.
2. We Notify
We will send you a letter (Notice of Action) to let you know if you are approved for Medi-Cal or not.
3. You Use
If you are approved, we will send you a Benefits Identification Card (BIC) in the mail. You can begin using Medi-Cal right away.
4. You Enroll
To get all the benefits of Medi-Cal, you might need to join a Medi-Cal health plan. We will mail you details about Medi-Cal health plans and how to sign up.
