The Office of Tribal Affairs (OTA) administers the American Indian Maternal Support Services AIMSS program.  AIMSS provides perinatal case management and home visitation program services to focus on the health of American Indian women during and after pregnancy as well as the care of American Indian infants for their first year of life. This program is grant funded and currently has four American Indian programs who receive funds to provide a combination of perinatal case management and/or home visitation. Perinatal case management and care coordination is conducted by trained clinic staff to assist pregnant American Indian women to receive health care, education, emotional support, referrals to social, health and community services, and to follow-up during and after pregnancy. The home visitation program provides health education to pregnant American Indian women (with children ages 0-1) to improve maternal-child health outcomes utilizing evidenced-based home visitation models.
