مراکز فدرال خدمات مدیکر و مدیکید درخواست تمدید معافیت سیستم برتر (SSW) را تأیید کرده است که برای یک دوره پنج ساله، اکتبر 1 ، 2024 تا سپتامبر 30 ، 2029 قابل اجرا است. معافیت تایید شده و اسناد مربوط به آن در زیر در بخش تمدید معافیت سیستم های برتر فعلی اکتبر 1 ، 2024 – سپتامبر 30 ، 2029 قرار دارند.​​ 

The SSW describes the utilization review (UR) process for acute inpatient hospitals that serve fee-for-service Medi-Cal patients.  Under SSW authority, the Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) employs the following UR approaches, depending on the type of acute inpatient service, the hospital type, and the characteristics of the beneficiary’s health care coverage.​​  

  • فرآیند درخواست مجوز درمان (TAR): فرآیند TAR به DHCS نیاز دارد تا خدمات بیمارستان بستری را قبل از تأیید بازپرداخت مجوز دهد. بیمارستان ها TAR ها را برای بررسی و تایید پذیرش ها به DHCS ارسال می کنند تا اطمینان حاصل شود که نیازهای پزشکی قبل از درخواست خدمات برآورده شده است.​​  
  • تی​​ AR-Free process: The TAR-Free process requires hospitals to use evidence-based, standardized medical review criteria to determine medical necessity and claim for inpatient hospital services, while DHCS performs post-payment clinical and administrative compliance reviews using statistically valid samples of paid inpatient hospital claims.​​
