This decision reflects our goal to streamline stakeholder input while ensuring that we continue to hear diverse perspectives. This pivot has also allowed DHCS to make adjustments to comply with the Ensuring Access to Medicaid Services (CMS-2442-F) (Access Final Rule) which was published April 22, 2024. This final rule establishes the Medicaid Advisory Committee (MAC) to service in an advisory capacity to State Medicaid agencies on matters related to policy development, and effective administration of the Medicaid program.
