What are Medi-Cal Connect’s latest features?

The latest Medi-Cal Connect enhancements advance California’s behavioral health delivery system transformation by equipping health plans with new data and insights to support care coordination, population health management, and quality outcomes.

Behavioral Health Measures

Medi-Cal Connect now includes Behavioral Health Transformation measures and Behavioral Health Community-Based Organized Networks of Equitable Care and Treatment (BH-CONNECT) Incentive Program measures for calendar year 2025.

These updates also improve transparency for health plans regarding how DHCS calculates performance. DHCS will use the Behavioral Health Transformation and BH-CONNECT rates available in Medi-Cal Connect as of June 29, 2026, as the official year-one rates for both programs. 

Shared Dashboard Access

All Medi-Cal health plans now have access to the same eight dashboards About the dashboards | DHCS, including four new or updated dashboards:

  • BH-CONNECT dashboard
  • Behavioral Health Transformation dashboard
  • Risk Stratification, Segmentation, and Tiering dashboard 
  • Program Impact dashboard
