Provider Enrollment Division
Provider Enrollment Division (PED) is responsible for the enrollment and re‑enrollment of fee-for-service health care service providers into the Medi-Cal program. There are approximately 300,000 Medi‑Cal providers who serve the medically necessary needs of the Medi-Cal population. PED is also responsible for developing enrollment policy, and updating and maintaining provider information in the Provider Master File database that is used in the claims payment process.
