Freestanding Nursing Facilities – Level A
Freestanding Nursing Facilities – Level A (NF-A). Reimbursement for NF-A services is equal to the median of each peer group. Facilities are organized geographically into three peer groups; (1) Los Angeles County, (2) San Francisco Bay Area Counties include: San Francisco, Marin, Alameda, Contra Costa, Santa Clara, San Mateo, Napa, Sonoma and (3) All other counties. Effective August 2, 2003, NF-A facilities that received a rate of $89.54 in Rate Year 2002 and have licensed bed capacities of 100+, will continue to receive this rate until their prospective county rate exceeds $89.54. Once exceeded, these facilities will receive a calculated prospective county rate.
NF-A reimbursement will shift from an August to July rate year basis to a calendar rate year basis, effective January 1, 2024, as approved in State Plan Amendment 23-0032.

COVID-19 疫情的公共卫生紧急状态已于 5 月11日2023结束。 因此，自 5 月12 、 2023起，因 COVID-19 而增加的报销金额将停止，NF-A 服务的报销率将恢复至 2022-23 年度的年度每日津贴率。
