The Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) conducts routine medical surveys of Program of All Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) Organization (POs).  The medical survey is a comprehensive evaluation of the PO’s compliance with PACE regulatory and contractual requirements.​​ 

DHCS’ Integrated Systems of Care Division (ISCD) is responsible for ensuring overall monitoring and oversight of POs. ISCD designates the Contract & Enrollment Review Division (CERD) of DHCS’ Audits and Investigations (A&I) to perform the mandated audits.​​
