This easy-to-use tool brings together county-reported data in one place, making it simpler for Californians, policymakers, and stakeholders to understand how counties plan, fund, and deliver behavioral health services.

The profile advances statewide transparency and accountability by showing how counties plan and use behavioral health funding across programs. It gives Californians a clear way to explore demographic data, housing-related behavioral health services, statewide performance measures, and county planning information in one place. It also helps counties, providers, Tribal partners, and policymakers compare performance, identify disparities, and monitor progress toward statewide goals.
California will continue expanding the profile over the next year, adding additional reporting elements, new performance measures, and future datasets, including the Behavioral Health Outcomes, Accountability, and Transparency Report, to further strengthen statewide oversight, transparency, and data-driven improvement in the behavioral health system.
