타일러 새드위드, 주 메디케이드 디렉터로 임명됨​​ 

The Governor announced the appointment of Tyler Sadwith as State Medicaid Director, effective March 25. Tyler served as Deputy Director for Behavioral Health since June 2022, and as Assistant Deputy Director for BH from July 2021 through May 2022, leading DHCS’ efforts to strengthen the state’s behavioral health continuum of care for all Californians. Tyler led an unprecedented array of policy reforms, programs, and funding investments to strengthen behavioral health care access, quality, and service delivery for Medi-Cal members and Californians served through public programs, including helping secure several first-in-the-nation federal approvals for the California Advancing and Innovating Medi-Cal (CalAIM) Justice-Involved Initiative and contingency management; spearheading the Behavioral Health Community-Based Organized Networks of Equitable Care and Treatment (BH-CONNECT) demonstration; and guiding DHCS’ implementation of the 988 expansion and Medi-Cal mobile crisis services, Community Assistance, Recovery, and Empowerment (CARE) Act, CalAIM behavioral health policies, and behavioral health facility licensing reforms.​​

전문 간호 시설(SNF) 성과 데이터​​ 

DHCS this week will for the first time publicly post facility-level performance data for the SNF Workforce & Quality Incentive Program (WQIP), which incentivizes facilities to improve quality of care, advance equity in health care outcomes, and invest in workforce. Performance data will be posted on the SNF WQIP webpage. For WQIP program-related questions or concerns, please email SNFWQIP@dhcs.ca.gov. For additional information about other nursing facility financing reform programs authorized by AB 186 (Chapter 46, Statutes of 2022), please see the Nursing Facility Financing Reform (AB 186) webpage.​​

On March 16, Smile, California presented at the State Migrant Parent Virtual Conference, Trabajando Juntos, Mejores Futuros Para Todos. This conference, organized by the California Department of Education, assisted about 1,000 parents of children enrolled in Migrant Education Programs by offering valuable insight into various programs, strategies, and resources. The primary goal was to empower these parents to actively engage in their children’s education. The conference was mainly conducted in Spanish, including both the general sessions and workshops. A Smile, California representative presented information on dental services covered by Medi-Cal, conducted a walkthrough of the SonrieCalifornia.org website, and answered frequently asked questions.​​

On February 21, Change Healthcare, a subsidiary of Optum/United Healthcare, experienced a cyberattack that took the company’s systems offline. Change Healthcare is one of several vendors that routes claims between entities, such as pharmacies and dental providers, and payers.​​  

3월 13일, DHCS는 메디칼 매니지 케어 플랜(MCP) 파트너에게 Change Healthcare 사이버 공격 이후 전달 시스템 안정성을 보장하기 위한 유연성과 관련된 메모를 보냈습니다. 이 메모는 MCP에게 청구 지급 계약상 책임을 상기시키고, 적시 청구 제출 요건 완화, 사전 승인 및 기타 이용 관리 요건 제거 또는 완화 등 제공자 커뮤니티를 지원하기 위한 조치를 취할 것을 강력히 권장합니다.​​  

Medi-Cal providers continue to operate, ensuring members can make appointments to receive covered services. DHCS will continue to monitor the situation to quickly identify and mitigate any potential impacts. DHCS stands ready to help plans, providers, and stakeholders address any interruptions to care and ensure systems are fully operational to process claims.​​

CalAIM 발달 장애인을 위한 중간 케어 시설(ICF/DD) 카브인​​ 

3월 22일, DHCS는 CalAIM ICF/DD 카브인에 대한 교육 웨비나 시리즈의 일환으로 오피스 아워 세션을 개최합니다. 이 업무 시간은 DHCS 및 발달 서비스국이 ICF/DD 홈, 지역 센터 및 Medi-Cal MCP 담당자와 함께 1월 1일부터 시행된 관리 의료로의 전환과 관련된 ICF/DD 카브인 정책 요건 및 이행과 관련된 질문을 해결하기 위한 전용 포럼을 제공합니다 1, 2024.​​

CalAIM 액세스 제공 및 건강 혁신(PATH) 기술 지원(TA) 마켓플레이스 가상 벤더 박람회​​ 

4월 9일과 25일 오전 9시부터 10시 30분까지 DHCS는 벤더가 잠재적 TA 수신자에게 자신의 조직과 서비스를 홍보하고 TA 마켓플레이스의 활용을 장려하는 마지막 가상 PATH TA 마켓플레이스 벤더 박람회를 개최할 예정입니다. 현재 Medi-Cal MCP 또는 기타 적격 기관과 계약했거나 계약할 예정인 승인된 TA 수혜자 및 기관은 향상된 케어 관리/커뮤니티 지원을 제공하기 위해 참석할 것을 권장합니다.​​  

4월 9일 벤더 박람회에는 도메인 2: 커뮤니티 지원 및 도메인 7: 인력 분야에서 서비스를 제공하는 벤더가 참가합니다. 4월 25일 벤더 박람회에는 도메인 5: 건강 형평성 증진 및 도메인 6: 부문 간 파트너십 지원 분야에서 서비스를 제공하는 벤더가 참가합니다.​​
