Panimula sa BCCTP
The BCCTP provides Medi-Cal coverage to eligible low-income (up to 200 percent of the federal poverty level) Californians diagnosed with breast and/or cervical cancer and need treatment. BCCTP applicants must apply for county Medi-Cal to be evaluated for all programs. Individuals with restricted scope Medi-Cal may be eligible for BCCTP.

Due to the nature of the program, and the urgency of providing access to care for a vulnerable population of individuals, there is a need to expedite the coordination of services between the BCCTP Eligibility Specialist (ES) and County Eligibility Worker (CEW). Individuals requesting a referral shall be immediately referred to BCCTP.
The applicant will be evaluated for Presumptive Eligibility (temporary, immediate Medi-Cal) while county and state determine ongoing Medi-Cal eligibility.
Referring individuals to contact BCCTP to apply will delay the application process and prompt access to care.
Please refer to the following All County Welfare Directors Letters (ACWDL) for guidance provided on how to send a referral to BCCTP when an individual states they have breast and/or cervical cancer.
The Medi-Cal Eligibility Division Information Letters (MEDIL) below provide guidance to counties and contain the most current MC 373 version to use when sending referrals to BCCTP.
