Fentanyl test strips are small strips of paper that can detect the presence of fentanyl in different drugs (such as cocaine, methamphetamine, and heroin) and drug forms (pills, powder, and injectables). The NDP currently provides all-in-one fentanyl test kits from DoseTest. These all-in-one kits streamline the process of testing a drug for the presence of fentanyl by packaging together a measuring scoop, the fentanyl test strip, a water pouch, and test instructions. Fentanyl test kits have a shelf life of about two years, assuming optimal storage conditions. Keep the test kits out of light, in cold storage and do not leave the bottles un-capped any longer than necessary.
