On September 15, 2026, DHCS released the Request for Applications (RFA) for the Scaling Dyadic Care Grant Program, a two-year statewide program under the Children and Youth Behavioral Health Initiative. The RFA outlines a grant opportunity designed to expand dyadic care, a Medi-Cal reimbursable benefit that delivers integrated behavioral health services to young children and their caregivers within pediatric primary care settings. The grant program supports eligible Medi-Cal organizations in building clinical, operational, and billing infrastructure to implement the Medi‑Cal dyadic services benefit. The RFA provides detailed information about program goals, eligibility criteria, funding tiers, application requirements, grant timelines, and expectations for participation in technical assistance and data reporting. The RFA will close on Oct 26, 2026, at 5 p.m. (PDT). Interested applicants are encouraged to attend DHCS’ upcoming informational webinar:​​

    Medi‑Cal provider organizations, federally qualified health centers, rural health clinics, Indian Health care providers, hospital‑affiliated health systems, community‑based pediatric providers, county partners, and stakeholders supporting children and family behavioral health.​​ 
  • Assistive Services:
    For individuals with disabilities, DHCS will provide free assistive services, including language and sign-language interpretation, real-time captioning, note takers, reading or writing assistance, and conversion of training or meeting materials into braille, large print, audio, or electronic format. 关于Dyadic Services​​ 

DHCS 将二人服务作为一项福利，自 1 月 1、2023 日起生效。Medi-Cal 会员可以通过按服务付费 (FFS) 和管理式医疗计划 (MCP) 获得双人服务。​​ 

双元服务是一种以家庭和照护者为中心的护理模式，旨在解决儿童的发育和行为健康状况，包括向父母/照护者（称为“双元”）提供的服务。双人服务有助于改善儿童获得预防保健服务的机会，并提高免疫接种完成率。他们还关注护理协调、儿童社会情感健康和安全、适龄育儿以及母亲心理健康。二元服务包括以下内容：​​ 

  • 行为健康 (DBH) 就诊​​ 
  • 获得社区支持服务​​ 
  • 心理教育服务​​ 
  • 儿童发展的家庭培训和咨询​​ 

儿童（21 岁以下的 Medi-Cal 会员）及其父母/看护人符合以下条件：按照 Bright Futures/美国儿科学会的行为/社交/情感筛查评估周期安排进行 DBH 就诊，且在医学上有需要时。 二元服务是针对 21 岁以下儿童及其父母/照顾者提供的综合身体和行为健康筛查和服务。​​ 

二元服务可供不符合 Medi-Cal 资格的儿童的父母/看护人（21 岁以下的 Medi-Cal 会员）使用，只要该二元服务直接惠及儿童。 父母/监护人可以接受特定的评估、筛查、咨询和简短干预服务，包括家庭培训和咨询。​​ 

For Medi-Cal FFS members, questions regarding Medi-Cal’s dyadic services benefit should be directed to their treating health care provider. Medi-Cal MCP members should talk to their treating health care provider or MCP to assist them in determining if dyadic services are appropriate. Members of Medi-Cal’s MCP include a point of contact for general information that can be found at Medi-Cal Managed Care Health Plan Directory. ​​
