Access Your Health Information

Notifications

The functionality for members to access their health information is currently under review. This website will be updated when third-party apps are ready for member download and use.

Medi-Cal is giving you more control over your health information.

You (and your approved representative) can see your health data anytime on your mobile device using an approved app.

The Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) wants to make it easier for you to manage your health. This access is part of the Interoperability and Patient Access federal rule that helps you get your health data securely.

What can you do

  • See your health history, including claims for doctor visits, medicines, lab tests, and more, all in one place.
  • View the provider directory to see if a doctor, clinic, or pharmacy takes Medi‑Cal.
  • Check medicines paid for by Medi-Cal on the covered drug list.

Get Started

  1. Choose an approved app – View DHCS‑approved apps.
  2. Download the app from your app store.
  3. Create an account and verify your identity.
  4. Give consent (permission) for DHCS to share your data with the app. You pick what health data to share and can remove access anytime.

Protect your privacy

The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), a federal law that protects health information, applies to DHCS and your providers. Most consumer health apps are not covered by HIPAA. Read the app’s privacy policy before you share data.
