The Clinical Assurance Division’s (CAD) mission is to provide quality clinical oversight that results in appropriate and cost-effective care for Medi-Cal participants through Treatment Authorization Request (TAR) adjudication, as well as post payment reviews for fee-for-service (FFS) recipients.​​
